I want to convey my deepest gratitude for your support of VMM-161 (REIN) during our recent mishap. When the first bit of dust was settling from the chaos and the Marine Corps was asking for more paperwork, you came through. There was no better gift. Everyone has a hero; you were ours that day.
— LtCol A.D. Lavato, Commanding Officer VMM-161 (REIN)

Knowing you were there, and going to take care of my wife while I laid in an almost hopeless state, brought me comfort knowing my dearest love was being taken care of. What you do as a Foundation, Marines, and just as people in today’s day and age is nothing less than remarkable. It is a selfless state of mind that you offer yourselves to bring comfort, hope, and peace to those who are in harder times. Not only did you have my wife to me bedside 3,000 miles away in just over 24 hours, you got us to Washington state, so I could say a final goodbye to my fallen Marine, with my wife again by my side. We will forever be grateful for you, and all that you have done.
— Sgt Matthew Sevilla, USMC

Captain Harris and Foundation team, thanks for remembering Chris in this profound way! He lived to be a Marine, fly the Harrier, and lead his men/women. Nothing was more important to him. Our hero died that night doing what he lived to do, and thanks to so many like yourselves, his memory can live on. Truly touched.

I would personally like to thank The Wingman Foundation for their great efforts to honor my brother Justin Everett and his Marine brothers. I know I speak for the Everett family when I say with a greatful heart, thank you.
— Jason Everett

Thank you for all that you do. The Wingman Foundation’s personal support to our family was and always will be greatly appreciated. Chris Orlando was a CH-53E crew chief on Pegasus 32.
